About the Foundation
The Dream to Dance Foundation was created by a member of the Melrose Dance Academy's Senior Competition Dance Team, Cali Lapenta. Cali was 16 years old and a junior at Saint Joseph Preparatory High School when she started the Foundation. She danced at Melrose Dance Academy for sixteen years and was captain of her team. With the help of her dance teacher, Amanda Bruno, Cali was able to start this Foundation. In May of 2017, Cali was featured as Channel 7 News Class Act for her work with the Foundation. Cali graduated from high school in 2017 and is currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
