Dance Teams
Melrose Dance Academy has four dance teams for ages 6 to 18. Our teams are made up of students who are more serious about dance, and want to make more of a commitment. We place students based on their age and ability. To become a member of one of our dance teams, a student must have at least two years of ballet training and audition before the dance season begins in September. To be on the team, ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical are all required. Our dance teams compete in two to three competitions each year, which are not optional. Every other year, our dance teams audition for the chance to perform in Disney World. Summer Intensives are offered for member of the dance team and strongly encouraged.
